Since I'm sitting here landlocked and freezing my *** off in sub-arctic temps, I decided to play with my gear while drinking Pineapple Juice heavily laced with Coconut Jack Rum...

I'm well into my 2nd pint of this concoction, and I'm feelin' pretty groovy right about now... Hey, it works for me, and I'm the only one that matters!

Okay, now for a few pix of my new rig, complete with a shiny red anodized aluminum DIN plug for the tank... Yea, I'll see your Rule #6 Violation, and raise you #'s 7', 8 and 9! :D

Notice the "black chrome" on the 1st stage, and the tiny Miflex HP hose.

Hate to break it to ya but it's even colder here :D
and where can I find these "rules" you keep talking about?
Bottoms up!

It's cooled back down to 15 at the moment, but I think were expected to drop to 10 overnight... We hit a low of 7 the other day, which is pretty serious considering I LIVE IN THE SOUTH! :eek2:

I'm sure one of the more estute senior members will be along shortly to discuss the rules! :D

whoops, my geography teacher would be crying :spin1:
but its still an accomplishment to be warmer then somewhere else in the U.S  besides Alaska of course :spin1:

We peaked at 27 today, and it's on the decline again... Where's "Uncle Al" when ya wanna smack him upside the head with a large icecle..?

Nice stuff, Tim. Have you had a chance to dive it yet? Do you have a 7' primary hose?
Thanks. :)

Nope, it hasn't been wet yet, but it is rigged w/ a 7' primary and 100% Miflex hoses.

I'm hoping to get in a pool session this Thursday evening if all goes well, but I won't know for sure until earlier that day.

I have a sneaking suspicion that by the time I'm finally able to get this stuff wet, that it will have already metriculated into a doubles rig... :D

Wow... It's actually a shame that you've got to dive with that stuff... It should be hanging on a wall in a museum... :)

PREEEETTTYYY...

Nice!! :inlove:
As you know, I am a new diver (certified last March) and have begun the gear purchases. I have 2 buddies that are serious wreck divers here in Michigan (steel doubles, trimix, etc. etc.) I was given a Dive Rite BP and wing and a custom built 6 lb single tank adapter from one of them and they insisted that if I ever plan on diving with them, I need to get DIN reg's, which, of course, I did. Also went with a 6' primary. I don't have a canister light to tuck it under so I would have gone with a 5' but I'm a big guy, so I went with a 6' hose. I've dived it a few times and it is just right. I'm headed to Cozumel in 2 weeks, diving with Aldora, who use steel tanks and DIN valves so I won't need my adapter.

Very, very cool! :)

Tim: Okay, they're pretty... And I can't believe that you purchased a bottle of touchup paint for them...

The red anodized plugs are over-the-top. :) Even at my standards! :)

I'm not going to tell you why I don't believe in using DIN plugs on my tank... It'll ruin your fun. :)

Meanwhile, ya better take a lot of photos while everything's still perfect... :)

Funny - I don't see a drop of epoxy anywhere. :)
