Mod a Probe start into a Pulse start?

I have a PFO 175 watt Probe Start MH ballast. Its a few years old, maybe four, but works great. Is there anyway to modify this ballast into a Pulse Start ballast, such that it will more easily run the European bulbs?

I have not heard of a way to do that.

Too bad for me I guess. I have a Ushio bulb that will not fire on my probe start.

Are you sure, I think Ushio should fire.

I thought it was possible to fire on the magnetic ballast as well, but knew it might be a 50/50 chance.

Pretty sure, I tried it several times. Ushio only fire on pulse starts.
