No, it is the grill, a bigger prop, a bigger transformer and a driver that is at least the 7240.27 revision. The bigger screen only would make a wider but shorter flow pattern, maybe 5ft by 30".
I have the 6100 in a four foot 75 gallon tank. The shorter distance shouldn't be a problem for me correct? Do you have the part # for the grill and do you know where I can purchase it from?
Thanks.
It is part 6200.13, Are your pumps brown or black? I need to check what color I have in stock and how many. They run about $50 a piece. I don't think this will do much for you as the flow will be wider than your tank can utilize, the only reason to do it is if you want a more gentle flow.
Here is a picture of my tank. I am trying to go with a wider slower flow. The brown stag with blue tips in the middle of the tank is getting the brunt of the flow and the polyps close up and it stops growing. I can't bounce the flow off the glass due to the size and location of my corals. If I could slow the flow down it would be great. By the way, the pump is black.
One thing I did to slow down the flow was to have Roger send me the propeller used on the 6080 streams (smaller). Another thing you can do is cut down the propeller you have from 42mm to around 38mm wide, though I think that both blades need to be equal.
