Modifying a manufactored sump

The pictured sump is what I want to modify and make the center into a fuge I will start removing the center bio ball stack and preparing for the conversion.

What you think about this?

sounds good,

never liked bio balls in a reef, a fish tank it would be ok,

Looks a little unsafe, Have you thought about drilling into the inside of the sump for the stack? removing the bioballs and adding a filter sock? here's a picture of mine, not the best picture but it will give you the idea. I used a wet/dry because I liked the idea of using the top egg create to hold the sock suspended, works perfectly for me.

Thanks for the replys. Will post pics as I go along with the modifications.

So far, I just removed some of the bio-balls from the middle container.
