Molting question... I guess

Has anyone ever heard of a mantis molting and not closing up its deen? My peacock its motionless in its deen, it was like this for a while lastnight untill I droped in some food. The food got its attention but iy never left its deen to eat. it went right back to moving just a little every so often. Today the same thing but it has been motionless much longer this time around. Think its possible the shrimp knows the maroon clown is its only tank mate and decided that an exposed molt was safe, or do i have a dead shrimp on my hands.
I really hate to mess with it without some input. Dr Roy????

My peacock also does not completely seal itself in. Apparently they don't in the wild, either. Just let it be for a few days.

+1 just leave it alone for a few days. dont go poking around in the hole cause you could very well kill it.

It also, could have attended a RAGING party hosted by one of your other tanks, and is still resting up from it. :bum:
