monthly heating prices.

Does anybody know how much it would cost to run a 1500 watt heater per month? It would be on an indoor 300 gallon sump in my basement.

1500 watt appliance on constantly, uses 1.5 kilowatthour, but that is if it is always on/heating

so it depends on your current price, look at your electric bill

if 7 cents per kWh, then $2.52 per day is its CONSTANTLY heating

if 15 cents...$5.40 per day if constantly heating

but i highly doubt it will have to be on that much, or even 12 hours at day

if you can afford a 300 gallon sump, i doubt that thousand bucks extra a year matters

Hey guys. Thanks for the tips, and advice. X , is the coversion chart pretty accurate with it's price total provided that I enter the correct information?

BTW personally I prefer 4 or 5 250's spread across the sump for redundancy. Couple of reasons.
1- 1 250 left open ( on ) does less damage
2- Spread the heat across an 8 foot section
3- I think and I cant prove it you will use less electric because this way is more efficient to turn on a 250 then a 1000w+
