Monti Cap Placement

Thanks for your time.

I received a frag of Monti Cap over the weekend. I have a 24" deep tank with 250 watt halides about 9 inches above the tank.

Where is the ideal location for this coral - low, mid, high?

About anywhere, I have a 90 AGA with 2x250w HM and have caps anywhere from the bottom to the top, although near the top you may want to take your time and aclimate to the light level. mine bleached near the top of the tank for a couple of weeks.
Caps are very easy to take care of compared to other SPS out there.

I would put it lower in the tank.

In my experience, while some prefer high light, most seem to do quite well in lower light.

Also, given they can grow quickly, and will shade everything below them - lower in the tank might be good to avoid having 1/3 the tank in the dark in a year

As mentioned above, I'd acclimate it slowly to your lighting if placing anywhere below fairly low in the tank.
