monti id's wrong?

ok i was just loking at some monti ids and noticed that what most ppl call a danae looks to really be more like a verrucosa or similar species because the danae looks to plate more than it encrusts.

again just an observation, probably wrong though, i just have never seen any danae on here that has plating growth, not many layers like a cap though.

Montipora are usually misidentified because of the difficulty to ID them. Most people call a montipora either a monti cap or a monti danae (despite the fact there are hundreds/thousands more).

yes, now that i have seen the id section on them i am gonna re think what alot of mine have been called since they too have been mis-id'd
