Monti out of water.

One of the several disadvantages of the 75g being sumpless is that the corals near the top of the tank are exposed to air during water changes. Several xenia and my large monti cap experience this weekly, and have for years, but don't seem to mind (this sort of thing occurs often in nature during low tide).
The monti cap is about to grow out of the tank again, so it's probably headed for some major fragging in the near future.
Here's a pic of it during today's water change.

A few of my corals do the same thing during a WC. I try to move really fast though.. Not because I'm worried about the corals, But because the smell of angry Xenia out of the water is great motivation! :P

Haha, same here. I remove xenia periodically for the very reason (plus keeping them from blocking the light to someone below), but they keep coming back.... My purple monti digi is threatening to grow out of water, too.
