moon snails

Has anyone heard of moon snails? I heard they were good for keeping the bottom of the tank clean.

there are moon snails on beaches were i live so i think they are a coldwater species

They are predators of other snails.

Thanks for your replys. We did a little more research on them and found out they would actually eat our claim!

Yup, they are predatory and cold water. They also make some really cool "collars" of sand that they lay their eggs on.
