Moonlight question??

I have a 14g biocube that I built some LED moonlights for. I am having a little problem with cyano and I am curious if this could be from having too many watts of moonlight. I only have my daylight on for 8 hours and the tank is never hit by the sun. I am running 3w of led at night. Could this contribute to the algae growth? How much is too much for a moonlight?

Moonlights should not have that effect. Check your water parameters first to see if the cyano is caused by an excess of nutrients.

All my parameters are in perfect conditions. The tank does receive some ambient light from things like a tv nearby and there is a window in the room its in but the blinds are always closed. I really don't know what else it could be.

What's weird to me is that it's starting to grow where the tank has the most flow. I siphon it out, 2 days later its starting to come back...It's aggravating!
