I think one set of two would work just fine. Read some of the reviews from people who have purchased these from Marine Depot. There are several regarding large tanks. I have mine set on the RKL multiple timer function. They come on for an hour in the morning before the main lights come on and they come back on in the evening for four hours so we can enjoy the ambiance after lights out. I wrapped the connections with black electrical tape; two of them cut lengthwise and I think that should help with the corrosion issue. I'm so glad Kat is happy with these.

2 looks good over my 6 ft tank if they are raised 12". 4 would work but would be pretty bright

Anyone using t-5 with these? Do you get the shimmer?

2 of these for a 6 foot tank is really enough. I haven't had them running with my t5's but I can try it out for you graves and let you know.
