moonlights

Hello,

I just was given a moonlight that you all put together back in December, (I think).

I need to get another one. (or two), can someone tell me or give me the schematics and or parts list so I can put together a couple more.

I can not believe how much light those suckers put out. But it is not quite good enough for one of those lights to cover my 180 tank.

btw: are those leds blue or UV? I never seen some of the those corals color up like they do when under that light.

Bill, I have some pictures of all the parts, and how to put it together, but I don't think you can purchase any of the parts. You would do best to buy one from someone if you really like it. It was a special LED that Tulio brought in for the xmas party.

I would offer to buy onealready made up,but it seems that$50 each is a bit pricey.

I would appreciate a picture or any othr information,

The circuitry should be prety basic, but the color is something I would like to match as close as possible to make thetank consistant. (a six ft tank has it disadvantages)

And isthere a way to get in touch with tulio? Is that his rc user name??

Bill, PM me your email and I will send you the pictures I have of the light and parts. Again, I doubt you can find the parts to build one yourself. Tulio is not on RC, he is the owner of the lighting and development company (I think that is what it is) and did this as a favor to the club.

You will have to admit there was little or no adverisement
of the March meeting - especially on the So. Ca. forum.

Yes, there were some problems this month. One reason I think the news letter need to go out the week before the meeting, just as a reminder. But do remember, the meetings are always the same, second Saturday of the month.

It will all be worked out as the club moves forward.

oh well, i cant remember when the month starts or what happens the first of the month, so if you post a reminder the week of the mtg, I will be sure to be there.

Any ideas who won the moonlights? maybe they are interested in sellingthem cheap?

I don't believe the problem is with the newsletter.... someone
has the post on RC - So Cal forum, everyday for 4 -5 days
leading up to the meeting. Dennis

IF you look at the forum, there is a MARCH MEETING REMINDER thread posted.

Read, Read,Read -- isn't that the FIRST and primary reefkeeping rule????

If you follow your nose and know that the meetings are on the Second Saturday of the month, READ the forum and READ your email, you not only got the newsletter, but you got a REMINDER on March 1 that the meeting was March 10.

Anyone in Jr. High School, I understand . Anyone else -- just READ. If someone volunteers to write a thread every day for five days before a meeting, BE MY GUEST.

I guess it comes down to how much you want or need people toshow up at the meetings.

I for one got the newsletter, i got theemail ten days earlier, but if I do not see what is going on that day or the day before, i am not sure i will eitehr remember, or plan something else.

so, if yo dont have time to BUMP the thread, once a aday to keep it on top, then you take the chance of having a smaller turn out.

it would be in both or best interest to try to do something like that, but up to you, and me, my loss is also your loss, as I would have been good for twenty raffle tickets...

no big loss I am sure, but it can be of help too, no??

Well, I for one am with Fishie Nut on this one. If you can't keep a calendar of events in you life, there isn't much anyone can do for you short of dropping by to pick you up



Now, the club can use a publicist, so if anyone is volunteering ........ were listing.

And if advertisers in teh world thought like that, then the airwaves onthe tv and print media would be a better place.

But obviuosly, there are an abundance of people that can not not or choose not to use thier memory for incindental activites or events otherwise those fortune 500 businesses would not cater / hold our hands to get us to do what they would wish us to do...

Obviously, you do recognize the need as per your request for a publicist.

So, which is it, someone comeing by to pick me up or you going to type BUMP in your threads every couple of days???
