Just wanted to add a lighter note. I think everyone could use a good ending
Although if I were a doctor I may still consider not removing them from ICU just yet. But, the necrosis has appeared to stop. I see normal PE in all corals, including the acros, and pocci's. Although some are basically just encrustments, it is not a total loss
I've managed to maintain a pH before lights go out at 8.2. I contribute that to Kents superbuff for the first 2 days after the waterchange(as much as I wanted to spike the hell out of it I opted to go slower 1 notch at a time,heard it causes less stress and appears to be true IME) and filter cleaning(very important to remove any old die off).Then nightly gallon drip of kalk. to supplement and maintain pH(helps with sudden drop offs during the night in pH, especially with an already sick tank!)
Just threw in the lil details in case it happens to a new reefer/reader.
