Yea, I know the risks. Really I would like another tang of some sort if its at all possible? The blue would probably get along with the yellow and not harrase the mag. foxface. I had a powder brown that ate everything. Unfortunately lost him in an ammonia spike due to overfeeding (I had bartletts anthias and must've fed too much). The downside was that my yellow tang felt he needed to be the dominant fish and they quarreled a bit, but every time the yellow ended up leaving the caves first. In the day it was great, but at night, the powder brown would chase down the foxface and hunt for him to slap him around. Amazing fish, but I wouldn't want to try another one until I upgrade tanks.
Anyone have any ideas on a baby regal (1" or so) or mimic tang? I would put 2 wrasse in there but my tank is open.
The swallowtail angel wouldn't be bad either, but I like the energy and personality tangs have.
I almost brought home a 3" powder blue not too long ago. It was new in the LFS and he ate like crazy and swam a LOT. The downside was that the guy said these fish normally go out the door so fast... he had been there all day. Only thing I noticed wrong was he was itching on a rock, but not much. I didn't take him.
