Those new pumps are good... very nice, no electricity in the tank...

I just made up 2 MJ 1200 mods and oh my.........the flow from one of them is more than 2 Seio 1100s. I like my Seios don't get me wrong......but these MJ mods are insane. I turned on 2 of the 1200 mods on my 75 and had to abort asap as I had water over the sides in a few spots as so much water volume was being pushed around. I am going with one instead and the 2 seios.

Yeah, the MJ mods are great.. and work very well!

and SUPER cheap!

Id go with the Mods, why spend 50 zillion dollars when you DONT have to at all.. spend the other 40zillion something on a new car, or another tank or .. well.. whatever suits your fancy!

What you can do is buy a MJ 1200 pump, mod it yourself and test it to see if you think you'd be happy with this pump. I have one of these on my 75g and it moves alot of water, but I don't know if it would have the same effect on your 200g. If you don't mind the look of several pumps around your tank, then go for the MJ1200 mods and save yourself lots of money.

For a 6' tank i think a few MJ mods will be good. The 1200s are supposed to move about 2000gph. I have a MJ900 in a 55gal w/ another regular 900 and it is quite a bit of flow.

this is incorrect. the 6000's are able to be upgraded to 6100's with a new transformer, the 6200's are different.

Your tank looks very clean. I'd add a vortech to really finish it up. Much smaller then a Tunze and really nice. The maxijets are nice but several tend to break after a few months.

If you are looking for good quality that last, I'd say the tunze or the vortech. Both solid products. A little pricey yes unfortunately.

As for the Seio's, they are another option, but their controller basically just pulses the flow up and down and not random.

If maximods are breaking on you, theyre not built correctly.

agreed, ive built three, total builld time 25 minutes, all running fine months later.

vortech, the one I have is great, you can control the speed, no added heat to the tank and you barely notice it.
