How much are you dimming the whites to get the color you want?

wow awesome work on LED's and really nice growth!
I have a red sea max 250 and am considering replacing the t5's with led's but not sure if I want to go DIY or just put in 2 assembled systems like Sol/Vega. How hard was the DIY process?
