More than 1 anemone in a 75 gal?

Can I have multiple anemones In a 75 gal? And not the same breed? What can I put in with a lta??

Can I have a few bta's ??
 
Many people keep multiple anemones, even in smaller tanks than what you have. Make sure to get healthy specimens and you should be fine, especially with bta's
 
Thanks I just got a nice lta... Looking good mouth is closing.. Clownfish even fed it... But lta look weird sometimes I like bta's if I just have the bta s on the side?? The lta is in the middle and hurried in the sand..
 
Ya, if you put them on one side and keep them away from the lta they should be fine..also are you running carbon? The nems will use allelopathy, so its best to run carbon when mixing different species together.
 
I have 2 btas and 1 haddoni in my 65 with no issues. One of the btas is about 3" from the edge of the haddoni.
 
ok thankyou! my lta is looking awesome and i was watching it sink its foot through the sand.. and it stayed in that spot alll night! phew! ok! im shopping tonight.. and what about a sebae in with a lta?? or a carpet?? the sebae or carpet on one side, lta in middle and bta on the other side?? all work? lol
 
I have a sebae, crispa, with my BTAs and they don't seem to mind. However, I haven't kept a sebae and LTA, so I can't say for sure.
 
I have always been told that if you can keep them from touching each other it should not matter what nems you put in the tank but rather how good your water quality is. If you can keep the water pristine than IMO you can mix any nems you want. Just as long as you have the space to spread them out and keep them from touching.
 
Lta and a sebae are probably not a good idea as both are sand dwelling anemones tho i have seen several move up into the rock work. and the sebae can grow up to around 2' in captivity if you can keep it alive that long and most come in bleached white and take alot of work to get healthy again. Carpets(Haddoni and Gig) will probably both out grow a 75 quickly if properly taken care of and require very intense lighting and flow along with pristine water conditons and would probably start chemical warfare with the lta. I know a local reefer who added a Haddoni and his lta that never moved started to roam and soon after died. Most people and me included would only reccomend one species of nem in a tank with the exception of btas who will get along with most others and if you do have mixed species you need to run alot of carbon to keep the water clean. Ok now a few questions What lighting do you have on the tank and what kind of flow? What else is in the tank, are you wanting a nem only tank? How long has it been set up? Have you had other nems in the past?
 
hello, i have t5 6 bulbs sun system tek lighting. (reflecors are the length of the whole bulb.. some white pink green and blue lights on there.. (i think it might even be 8 bulbs..)
i have a vertex in sump skimmer
a uv sterilizer
my tank is 75 gallons 2 feet height 4 feet wide
and i put in a big bag of carbon lastnight..

i would probably just stick with bubble tips and coul di have more than one lta on he sand and the bta in the rocks?? i jsut got two new bta's and they are in the rocks. up high.

Nice setup and great for any anemone. Depending on species then you can add the amount of flow.

Agreed:Sticking to one type of anemone is best. 5-10 RBTAs in a 75 would look sick. Post pix when done.
 
Yes, Tek lights are good. It is wise to have a small fan blowing on the fixture to maximize bulb life and output. Tek Elite have that built in, but I'm assuming you have the regular Tek. Your BTAs should do fine in your setup. I assume you have 54 watt bulbs, since you tank is 4 feet long (Length x width x height). It is 24 inches high, with individual reflectors, such as Tek has, you will be able to keep anemones to the sand level. ATI bulbs are the best, Blue Plus has very high PAR output and a blue tint. for a six fixture, 2 daylight, such as GE 6500, or even one with Blue Pluses make for a nice color, in my opinion, and put out a great deal of PAR. Since your BTAs are new to the tank, be careful that any powerhead intakes are covered as they may wander in their attempt to find a nice cave in the liverock.
 
what do you mean by amount of flow?? i have two powerheads on 1 on either side a over flow in the off center muddle, and then out of that is two tubes pushing water out at the top on out to the front and the other out to the side. well i got two new btas with my lta.. and they seem to be doing fine.. i got carbon in there.. bought it lastnight with the bta's.. i also got another green bta to go in the other tank for my other clowns cause they are hosting the mushroom.. and i thought they would host the bta if it was on same side as mushroom..NOPE!

so i may move that one into the 75 gallon.. yes i want a bta tank.. (could i put one more lta on the bottom???)
 
so far the btas has stayed in their spot, one came in a rock.. and wont leave it.. (i bought it with the rock.. rock free) and i just put him up high on the rocks (mid level) and hes in his spot, and i put the other in a nice cave like and he is all burrowed in there and stayed in spot all night..

my other one moved about 2 inches..to behind the rock.. but the fish arent hosting.. i guess they are hapy with the mushroom.. so i will move that one to my big tank i think.. so that my other male clown that gets kicked out of the lta has one to go into on the side that he stays in.. lol
 
Two lta's would most likely be ok together in the same tank, I just would try not to have them touching. Remember also to figure in full grown size when adding them. Bta's and lta's are fine together as long as there not touching. I agree with the above poster 10 or so mixed colored bta's in with the lta's would look really good and give you some awesome colors. Also bta's if happy and well fed will split on a regular occasion giving you more nems to keep or trade. Your lighting and flow sounds good to keep both types. If you ever want to do carpets, ritteri, or malu you would need to add more alternating flow. What are feeding the nems?
