Moseleya latistellata care and placement

I believe the coral pictured is Moseleya latistellata. Purchased it a few months ago and it was doing fine. It would feed at night and now it doesn't appear to be doing so. Now it's pale with the flesh close to the skeleton. All other corals are doing fine so I'm inclined to believe it's placement that is the issue.What type of flow and lighting do they need?

It looks like a Moseleya to me. Mine is currently kept at mid level lighting under LEDs however I treated the coral like acans from the very beginning. Low peripheral light, light flow. I would slowly move it to a spot I wanted at mid level. Low flow is maintained.

From my readings and research the coral is quite hardy and can tolerate higher levels of lighting. It's often found in shallow lagoons that may have extended periods of little to no water with the rising and lowering of the tides.

I wish I could help determine the cause for the decline in colour and health of your piece. Perhaps it was placed directly under your Kessils too fast? Is there anything else that may be irritating it?

Hey thanks for the reply. It was up until recently and during the decline, almost exactly in the middle of the tank - equidistant from powerheads - and on the sand bed. It was doing fine there for more than a month and possibly longer. Then it started to look as pictured. I've since moved it higher, so it's getting stronger light and more, but indirect flow. I figured there was nothing to lose and that hopefully that would change the situation. Right now it's holding steady and maybe, just maybe, improving. Still not feeding at night the way it was, expanding and extending feeder tentacles. Everything else, including other LPS are fine. I'll report back one way or another. Hopefully it's good news
