Most popular tang

Never heard of a grazing wheel. I think I'll stick to the nori I can pick up at Walmart for a couple bucks, though I hate how messy the tangs are with it.

The New Era grazer rings are good. I use them once a week in place of the daily nori. DiY'd a magnetic holder for mine as the supplied suction cup is a pain. Only downside is it kills the foam production on my skimmer for a few hours.

Interesting. They seem small, how long do they typically last for you? I've got a yellow tang, a powder blue and a kole and go through about a half sheet of nori per day.

I have six tangs, three butterfly's, and three dwarf Angels. 4x8 sheet of nori lasts 5 minutes, maybe. Ring is a bit more robust, half an hour, give or take.

In my tank its lucky if it lasts more than 3 minutes...always greedy :)

I've just ordered a New Era ring for my Scopas Tang as won't eat [or even recognise] the clip i have.
Fingers crossed ...

Nice hair and accent btw

Let me know how it goes, sometimes it's best to stand away from the tank, I'm assuming if it's not eating it's probably new to captivity. You probably look very frightening to it

The issue I had with the rings was that, after about half gone, the other half would fall to the sand and sit for a day or two. Someone in my tank has a taste for inverts, so the CUC isn't big enough to deal with it.

It doesn't last long enough in my tank for any inverts :p there are two options large and small wheels are you using the correct size?

Yes the Tang is new.
I try to only get really close to the tank when doing maintenance or feeding but this morning, Tang was swimming around happily and disappeared when I came close to the tank to feed.
Is happily grazing on rocks and is quite active, I just think it does not like [or is unaware] of the clip.
I'll see if I can find a Nemo Onesie to make myself more attractive :)

Well it's taken to the grazer like a fish to ...

I finally got my purple tang and he is fat and looks healthy. I use the clip for seaweed and he finally took to it once I left the room lol. Heck I frighten myself sometimes so I know my new buddy is frightened too!

Tangs are beautiful, and I am stoked to add him soon. He is in QT and at first I thought he had some type of disease when they look like they were dusted with flour. I didn't know they could change color upon mood changes and such. They are really cool fish.

Purples are awesome fish. Very striking looking. I've had mine for about 1.5 years and he eats just about everything but the kitchen sink.
