mounting issues for 6000s on AGA tank?

Have ordered a 6000 and controller.

Have an AGA tank -- someone tells me that I won't be able to mount the Stream on my tank?

Is this true?

Thanks,

Steve

Not to step on Roger's thread, but you can still mount them to the overflows.
Or better yet get part 3000.244 (available at many of the online suppliers like marine depot).

I have mine attached to the overflow. It works but I would rather mount it to the side of my tank. If you have a canopy the best bet would be to wait for the magnet holders.

My overflow (in AGA's 'not understood by me' thinking) is one third of the length of the tank in from the left side of the tank. I must side mount or front corner mount.

Sigh, the magnets should be available in Canada by 2006 :D

Thanks guys.

Yah, just talked to my supplier here -- they've added the "long screws" adapter to my order. I assume that's what you're talking about.

And they're being shipped today. Whoohoo. Another toy and I still don't have water in the tank yet

Why don't you make your own magnet holders? Buy one of those floating magnetic glass cleaning magnets (the biggest one) and cement it to the back of the Tunze Stream? Then posistion it wherever you want. You should even be able to slide the pump around by moving the magnet on the outside of the tank.

The Streams that have started coming in now include the 3000.244 kit so if you order now you will not need to buy it seperately.

Took delivery of my 6000 and controller today. ""Previous" stock, I presume and I had ordered and got the extension unit, as well,(3000.244) so I should be good to go.

This is one exciting looking bit of equipment. I can't wait to see it in operation.

Thanks Roger.
