mounting osmolator in rubbermaid?

Anyone ever mounted one on a rubbermaid stock tank?
The lip is too wide for the supplied hardware. Was thinking
of mounting it to a pvc pipe in the tub

I think SeanT did this, I would just drill the tub and run a screw through it.
