mouse pad safe?

I threw in the mouse pad today. I peeled off a layer that had some color & a logo on it. It has been in for a few hours & nothing has died yet. So far so good.

Will report back again eventually.

Only thing I can say is that it's tricky to work with. It has a tendency to be buoyant & want to float. You need 3 hands to work with it.

Just curious now, does anyone use Styrofoam in the reef tank? I know they use it to transport our corals in & seems to be fine, but how about long term usage in the tank?

I have used a mouse pad under my pump for 2 years now, no issues. Cheap pad that's neoprene on one side, nylon on the other, no graphics.
