Mouth open

I have a male black spot ( swallow tail) angel and lately it has been keeping its mouth open , kind of puckered. Still eating but not as much of a pig as normal. Been researching but nothing seems to explain. Any ideas?

Around 6 months, all other fish are fine including the female swallowtail. Seems strange and no fish have been added.

Could fish have had flukes for 6 months? Seems unlikely and not showing any clamped fins or scratching

Have you added any corals, inverts or LR?

Not in over 2 months, would it be ok to treat with prazipro as a precation? I have a mixed reef , clams , shrimp ect

A lot of people have dosed Prazi in the main with great success. It can kill feathers and other worms so keep an eye for an ammonia spike.

Ok i may try it, but it is strange that there are no other symptoms.

Ok, so i dosed prazipro, followed directions and no change in the angel, his appitite is not strong but not showing any symptoms, no flashing, twitching, breathing heavy, not hiding , no clamped fins, body looks fine. Really concerned . Are there other issues with swallowtail angels that may be the cause. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
