Moving a Feather Duster?

I have a couple small feather dusters on an otherwise not very attractive piece of rock. I'd love to move them to another rock and then put the rock they were on in the sump. Is it possible to do this? How should I go about it?

Here's a photo of the underside of the rock, showing one of the feather dusters in question hanging over the edge at the bottom of the image. There's another on the opposite side of the rock (not visible in this image) and, I think, one on the left side of the image, about a third the way up.

What do you think? Is it possible to move these guys?

I have never really moved one but I collect them from time to time, they are native to S FL so I collect them when I see one I like. You can pull the tube up carefully and as long as the worm doesn't come out of the tube put it in it's new spot. If they come out of the tube that is ok as well, they will make a new tube. One thing to remember is they can move so they may not stay where you put them. Just remember to be careful, you don't want to tear the worm itself when you are moving it, it may be better to leave them alone and hide or decorate the rock so it looks nicer.

i only see little miny feather duster tubes...they are not worth saving...i have had millions of them come and go...and they pop up in the sump all the time...

i looked in this thread cause i thought you were moving a Hawaiian Feather Duster...which i would like to do and i am not sure how too..

i will be following the thread to see if there are more howto's
