moving anemones???

I got a flower and a condy anemone with my second shipment, they are both doing really well, eating and everything. The only problem is that they both made a b-line for the back of the tank. I wanted to get them to move to the front...i tried putting a powerhead on them (adjusted way down) to get them to move didn't work. I don't want to harm them with too much flow, but it'd be nice if they moved to where i could see them and where i could feed them without having to be double jointed. Does anyone have any suggestions. I also don't want to stress them by moving them by hand, but that might be what i'll have to do.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks richard, that's pretty easy, i think i can handle that. Will they eventually move out into the open?

They may, but if you fool with them thay will release stuff you don't want them too...and if you injure the base......death.....they will go where they are happy, usually a high current area..

I've read that one way to convince anemones to move is to change their lighting, e.g. put some foil over your lighting to shade the anemones. The anemones like light, so they'll move away from the shaded area. (Theory).

I have found 2 completely different things about the anemones I got. The bearded anemone, or flower, or what ever it is settled into the first place I put it and hasn't really moved. Indirect flow and LOTS of light (5" under the water with 1000 watts of light). The Condy on the other hand moved down an extra 20 inches and tucked way back so that he is shaded most of the day with moderate, but more direct flow. I would probably recommend giving them at least a few weeks to let them acclimatize to the tank and the environs. Hopefully they will come out when later.

My Epicystis crucifer (bearded/flower/rock anemone) didn't move from where I placed it for several months. When it did move it only went a few inches down off the rocks into the sand. However mine is all the way at the bottom of my tank (30" deep) with only two 39W T5's directly above it. Also, when it moved it stopped right next to one of my returns which is half the output of an Iwaki 55 running flat out, about 500GPH. It is actually below the nozzle which points up from the bottom so it's not directly in the flow. Funny thing is though, it actually "stands up" and stretches over to put it's tentacles in the path of the flow from time to time. It looks like it really enjoys it, so much so that one of my friends said it looked obscene.
I've heard various methods to try to get them to move but I'd agree with Richard, don't mess with them.
