Hey all..

The time has come....

The breeding operation has taken over then house and ruined my baseboards and molded my walls...so...finally moving it all into a 1000 sq ft wherehouse area where I can expand and start producing larger quantities and more species...

I could use some more mating pairs of the following:

Banggai Cardinals
Orange Ocellaris
Black Ocellaris
True Percs

and Id listen to anything else.

Here are the things I will be breeding for sure (Ryan)....

Banggai Cardinals
Orange and Black Ocellaris
Orchid Dottybacks
Erectus, Reidi and Barbouri Seahorses
Neon Gobies
Mandarin Dragonets
Yellow Assessors

Also will be trying eventually:

Latezonatus Clowns (If I can get them to spawn)
Orange Spot Filefish
Black Cap Basslets

At any rate...if you have any spawning pairs of anything you are willing to possibly sell, let me know..

Sweet! My tank just finished cycling :bounce2: I will be needing cardinals, clowns, 1 assessors and a black cap. You ever try royal gramma's?

Not yet....but thats not a bad idea!

Reefin...I am going to be looking for a lot of help throughout this adventure...anyone who wants to help out in return for trades or something is MORE than welcome....

I actually need someone who is very versed aquaculturing corals as I think I may set up an area to do that as well....I mean really really versed....not just my corals grow good in my tank...

I actually want to do alot of coral studies, not versed yet, but im working towards that, i could be your guy in the future. I spend alot of time researching them, the only reason i don't keep alot of the things I research is because I don't want it to die when I have the lack of funds to buy equipment I need.

But where is this place located?

I was wondering when you were going to make the move to something bigger. Good luck to you and you know you will have a customer right here when you get your dottybacks to make baby's for me.

Any chance you will be trying to breed any inverts? Beyond the snails that just breed anyway. You should breed some shrimpies and slugs! :D

Yea.. I plan on doing at least peppermint shrimp...easy....maybe take a stab at cleaners or fire...but no ones had much success with either of those yet...

Thanks for the offers of help everyone...once Im moving in, I will definitely make a post looking for help setting up, plumbing, filling tanks, getting rotifer, copepod and brine cultures goin, etc...

I have some peppermint that are 2 months old today. For the retail cost of them it is not worth the time for the few that make it.

Sorry JJK..didnt see your first post..

right now Im running about 1200 gallons on 4 different celtralized systems....but thats not the problem...the problem is all the spillage on the floors. Sometimes my fault like when Im filling the RO/DI trash can, sometimes not when a tank breaks or something...but if youre going to raise fish..water everywhere is inevitable....!

Rompin..The breeding operation is going to be on I-17 and Indian School in a large wherehouse. Gonna try to be the "green" guy and recycle all my water, create my own foods, etc...any ideas are appreciated. I know Tiffany makes some awesome food from scratch.....I think...

The idea is to be able to supply the local stores (and others..) with tank raised, high demand fish that they wont have to take out of the ocean, wont have to worry about disease, wont have to pay to have shipped, etc...

Now if someone could ever raise wrasses.....man....

There is a great thread over on ninoreef about sexy shrimp breeding and someone attempting to raise blue velvet slugs/nudis (not real nudies) also. I have a gaggle I'd part with just for the damn coral they've slaughtered. ;/

stupid shrimp and their wiggly arses

This is so cool. Once you get this up and running, im sure the Tucson crowd would want in as well. I know i am for sure. Post some pics of the facility when you get it up and running!

Im Heading over there tomorrow to powerwash the place, paint the walls and epoxy the floors on Friday, start moving stuff over on Saturday...

Gonna have to get some neighbors and a box truck to move all the stuff from my house...! I am looking forward to not only expanding the operation, but getting my house back as well! (Well, at least my girlfriend is really looking forward to having it back...lol).

It will be a good month before its up and running, and a couple more after that I think before everything is in full gear with the kinks worked out. When that happens, I will let everyone know and everyones welcome to come take a tour! Its all about spreading the word and conservation as far as Im concerned! Im even thinking about giving school tours etc...

My free time is super limited so I cant offer too much but if you have a bunch of stuff torn down and you have people to help load and unload I own a 20ft flat bed truck with a lift gate (the bed is about 20x8, so it holds a ton). I'm willing to help you move the stuff but with my limited schedule I would only have a half day or so on a weekend. My limatations may not work for you but if they did it could save you from renting a box truck.
