Moving established clam.

I placed my Gold Maxima high in the rockwork and unfortunately in a small crevice that makes his threads nearly impossible to get to with a razor blade. Any techniques with flow or some type of injection around the threads to get him to let go? Needing to make some room for some SPS and would like to move him near the derasa.

you could try increasing the flow around him so he gets irritated enough to drop his bysmall threads and moves over... thats what i did with mine, took about 3 days for him to get to the area that i needed him to be...lot of trial and error.

Small hobby scissors work great. I tie flies and have a pair of dr. slicks arrow tip scissors that I use in just such an occasion. You can find off brands as well (dr slicks are pretty pricey for scissors, but they are wonderful).

Thanks, I will get a small hydor put on him and see if that works. Will look into the scissors too. Not sure any of the threads are going to be accessible.
