Moving long distance with anemone

It looks like I might be moving. I do not have a nem yet (will likely wait until I move not to mention this tank has a good three or four months before it sees a nem). While researching magnificas (that's my nem to be :) ) I started wondering how a person with an established nem like a magnifica or a gig would move it over a distance of 750 to 1000 miles if driving in a moving truck. Has anyone here done it before and if so did the nem survive the trip? Like I said I know how precious these guys are and I am going to do everything I can no holds barred to make sure that when I get my ritteri that it will thrive. Once I move I likely will never move again and I am not buying one before moving. Still I know life events happen and sometimes one has to move an established tank, nems and all. I have moved with tanks before just not with nems and certainly not a ritteri.

If it was me and I had no other choice I would ship it overnight maybe to a local LFS but have cipro ready cause they don't ship well. In all honesty you'd be better off selling the nem to someone local and once your settled in your new place try to obtain another one.

That is what I figured. I just wondered if anyone here has managed it. I will be waiting for sure until I move especially since I am going to have to tear down and restart everything and make sure everything is truly rock solid. Thank you for the response.

I would prepare a barrel with heater and airstone and transport the anemone in that. That way it should be able to handle a couple of days.
Same goes for rocks, coral and fish. You can pack up your whole tank, water included, move it across the country and set it up again.
