Moving my haddoni

Moved my haddoni today. After about an hour of digging in sand and massaging the foot of the nem, it finally gave way and I transferred the thing to my 70 gallon. Checked to make sure there were no tears, and I think I did it successfully. Here it is a half hour after I put it in the tank.

It's already digging in its foot. I've been neglecting it lately so hopefully in this system it will get better treatment.

Looks like it went smoothly. I would still dig a hole in the sand and bury its foot to help it anchor to the bottom of the glass.

10 chromis? hmm wont they start killing each other evenutally. I read chromis dont really like to be in "schools"

Thanks. I've read some people have had luck with larger numbers. So far, with my feeding, they have been getting along fairly well. I haven't seen any aggression, but that may be because they were just introduced. I'm keeping an eye out for it, but I think if the feeding is enough, they should be fine. I really do love them though, with how they interact with the other fish. They add so much life to the tank, and are such affordable fish.

In my experience, Chromis do well in schools if the tank is large enough and you feed often enough. Otherwise the dominant Chromis will slowly pick off the rest until you are left with one... I have one that survived my move and has joined up in schooling with my Anthias...

Still wish I had a Blue Haddoni to feed my Chromis to... ;)

Yea, they seem to be fine for now, but I'm feeding several times daily. Another one found its way into big blue today. I'm probably going to add the difference back to the tank this weekend, as I want to keep the number up before they actually do start killing each other off.

That blue guy was a nice one! I miss my blue one too. My wife prefers the blues over the reds :)

Mine does too... I'm still in search of a blue locally... I have a few LFS and a couple wholesalers on the lookout for me... We'll see... :D

How big is your tank abereefur???

The tank is 70 gallons, probably why the fish keep swimming into it, but they'll learn eventually... I hope. It was in a 300 gallon before. I got lucky with this one. It was just brought back from the wholesaler to an LFS I was at and looked too good to pass up. 9 months later I am glad to say I don't regret that choice. Lucky me I didn't take the red one which unfortunately didn't make it past a month.

Also, for reference, here it is in the tank FTS. It's currently about 10" from the RBTA front left. No issues with that yet, and hopefully the amount of carbon I run and the amount I change it will keep it that way.
