MP10 or MP40??

So I'm in the middle of a tank downsize from a 120 gallon (its empty right now) to a 45 gallon long (48"x12-1/2'x17") and I really don't know what to do for flow in the tank.

I have 2 MP40's I used on my 120 gallon, but I feel that would be too much. At the same time I know I will be going back to a larger tank one day I just don't know when.

So can I get by with the MP40's or should I go get 2 MP10s? I play to keep a mix reef of LPS and SPS.

Keep the MP40s and dial them down.

Seems easy. If you already have the MP40s, just install them and turn them down. If you can't turn them down low enough to satisfy (which seems unlikely), then go get MP10s. I think the only real risk with the MP40s is that they 'look' too big for the tank.

Just use 1 MP40, and store the other one for the future.
