Hello. My MP20 just arrived in the mail today and it arrived with a bent pin spacer. I read and commented on another member's thread who bent his pin spacer b/c he wasn't careful with it, so that's actually the first thing I looked at when I opened the package. When I looked at the dry side of the pump, something looked out of place. This is what it looked like straight out of the box:
It looked kind of odd to me, and when I opened it up I realized it was one of the pin spacers - bent straight out of the box. I was confused at first, b/c I thought the "pins" were thin pieces of metal b/c of the warning that they would be bent easily.
Also, when I looked at the driver I noticed that the wires were exposed. This isn't as big of a concern to me as the bent pin spacer, but I figured since I'm likely going to have to have the pin spacer replaced, I may as well see what can be done about the driver. If I push the wires up into the unit they will stay if left alone, but slip right back out when I touch it. Here's a pic:
I just wanted to know what I should do. Because the pin spacers aren't under warranty, I wanted to make sure to report this to you and not even try to set this thing up yet. Should I send it back to where I ordered it from and ask for a whole new replacement, or should I send it to you? Thanks in advance for your help. Overall, I am extremely impressed by the quality of this product and how well-built it appears to be - I guess I just got unlucky with that pin spacer and wires. Thanks again!
