I upgraded both my MP40 and MP60 to the QD controllers. HUGE difference in noise. Much much quieter. I was skeptical when I bought them but it made a vast improvement. Almost can't tell it's running.
I did have a heck of a time getting them recognized on eco smart live. Ended up resetting each one separately. The trick for me (I think) was only one plugged in and resetting it with reef link unplugged. Added it, the unplugged it and did the other one. 10 minutes to change the drivers then 50 minutes to get ecosmart live to see them.
All in all - very happy with the resulting silence!
