MP40 not going into Night mode

I have 2 MP40w units that have been on my system and working without issue for the last year. The are set at the opposite ends of the tank. One is setup as the master and one as the slave. I run the EchoSmart NTS mode ...

2 nights ago I noticed that the unit was not going into night mode and realized I had recently turned them off to clean them & probably did not reset the mode. So I got out the manual and followed the instructions to navigate to night mode and both sub modes (duration & speed). During each step the appropriate led lights and colors on the main dial came up. I then returned the unit to normal ops but it never went into night mode. I checked again last night and it did not go into night mode ....

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Marlin,

That is pretty unusual. I would recommend power cycling both pumps and attempting to enter the basic night mode. Please hold "Mode" and "Set" until the pump flashes Red/White/Blue. Then hold "Mode" and "Set" again until the controller begins breathing white. If you're still unable to enter nightmode, please let me know.

understood. I'll give that a try. If that works do I return the unit to NTS mode and then try setting it up to begin at the start time I want?

Marlin,

If it works, I would recommend power cycling the pump then using the same button presses to enter and exit nightmode at your desired times.

How do I get in night mode from ESL? I don't recall seeing that as an option.

The night mode available on your VorTech controller is constant mode. With that in mind, I would recommend programming constant mode(green) at a low speed during your nighttime.

Ok, I put the pump into night mode last night at 10:30pm and it was set for 12 hrsb.. When I got home the pump was back in its normal ecosmart NTS mode so I'll check it again tonight but I may be ok ... Thx

Marlin,

So if I want start Night Mode at 10pm I do the above at 10pm, then if I want it to run for 12 hrs I repeat the above at 10am the next morning, right?

So, that sets the mode time for 12 hrs using the default speed of 50%?
