MP40 shaft life?

Tonight one of my two MP40 wet side pumps completely seized up. I took it apart and found that the spacer had disintegrated, and the shaft had seized in the ceramic bearing. In addition, the screw shaft was showing signs of pitting.

They have worked well for about 2-1/2 years. Is anyone else having problems with them over time or know of the life of these parts? Do they make replacements?

Can't give good commentary on life but can tell you that parts are available in the Ecotech "Store"; i keep some spare part just to avoid surprises... don't ask me why!

I just had the screw fail on mine after two years, there are replacements available on their web site for 2.50

Thanks. Got some ordered. Talked to them as well and they really never heard of the ceramic bearing going bad so sending it in to them.
