Mr. Tangs 150 Display Tank with total water volume 300gallons

this is true but I did it on a wime and didn't want to wait on a order... But if I would planned ahead, I would order the exact materials for the job. I just lucked out!

you need to stick the gate-valve mod and mesh mod on that beast....it makes a huge difference....the mesh mod more then the gate valve in my opinion. Might wanna check w/ B and see if he has some of the mesh stuff laying around his garage

Tank is looking good though...

KingSwallowTail You're right! I need to replace that magnet propeller anyways. B should have one ordered for me. I'll do the meshmod than.. The FTS really doesn't do the rock justice. That LR in the center is like 40lbs. and like 18" tall. Theres only 12 LR's in there.

I should have your landscape plan ready for you in the next couple of days by the way

anything can fall apart, look at my dell computer 3 months the monitor fell off and sparks started shooting from it and i didnt even do anything to it :)

But I left my needle wheel intact and put the mesh on inbetween it, just incase i didnt like it....never an issue its been running for over a yr and half like a champ.

Awesome. Thanks. I am thinking about modding my Euroreef. I want to get the mod kit though from Euroreef. It is way to spendy though. I am like you, if I do something I want to do it right.

Here's a couple of the light tray
The idea behind this is to be able to remove the lights easily and and be able to get in the tank. Of course there will be a wood that goes around the light tray. Kinda like it's a two piece canopy..

Love the rock work. Tank is looking awesome. I hope to get by again sometime this week. Hoping for more advice. In addition to the display, I've since picked up a sump and modded skimmer from B at The Fish Room. I like to see your sump room layout and in action. I know your anxious to get cycled and get your livestock back. Keep up the good work.

seaheard Thanks for the nice words! We spent a lot of time looking at rock at the Fishroom... Tough job(HAHAHA)... Do us all a favor and start a BUILD THREAD!!! That way we can follow your progress!

StripestheEel Thanks for posting

We have currently been working on trimming out the stand with wood and staining. I'll post some pics later today..

That rock-work looks nice......almost as nice as someone elses tank i know :) just kidding man it looks real good.

what happened to macro rock?

KingSwallowTail It's a good thing when your friend opens a LFS!!! I decided to spend money on some real nice rock. Wasn't that happy with the first order of MarcoRocks. I did put some of the marcorock in my sump with some other rock that came form my 120gallon.

The two things(sand & LR) I skipped out on on my 120, are the two things that I made sure to get the best available.

Totally worth the money!!

lookin good man! hows your cycle going, is the tank cycled now that there are diatoms about? time to add cleanup crew soon?

how about some pics of the whole fishroom visible :)
