The gate valve. I had never taken it apart before this so it looked liek it was put together that way. I didnt glue it when i put it back together, But its overflowing like mad now.
Does both orings that hold it together have to be on one side of the beckett or both sides?

Creetin-you can keep the snails out of the beckett if you put a strainer on the the pump suction side.Ask Andy on tuesday he should be able to help you with that.

I do have one in place. These are the tiny snails that are a little bigger than a grain of rice.
Still overflowing. I placed it in bacwards and it wont overflow, But air is very limeted.
Its driving me crazy it worked fine before.

I have it restricted with a ball valve to keep it from overflowing now. Before i left it all the way open.
I placed the center piece in the notches and put back together, and thats when it started overflowing.
Do ya think it was unseated before?

Its all the way open, I cant open it up anymore.
I pulled the return line out to make sure it wasnt kinked or clogged. Its all the same way as before just getting more gph thru it.

I turn off the air and it rushes to about 3/4 up and slowly climbs till its overflowing.
I also pulled the gatevalve off and inspected the return plumbing.
I cant figure it out.
Should the center piece be placed in the key slot or should that be allowed to move up and down?

So, with the air off, and the gate valve fully open, it's still overflowing? Sure the gate valve is working properly and it's not just the knob spinning and not opening/closing?

Correct, Its overflowing. I removed the gate valve to see if it was bloken/had some debris in there. It opens and closes, and nothings in it. I cant explain it other than maybe the center piece in the injector was unseated before and restricted flow thru it?
Dunno.

With the air off, is there any bubbles in the skimmer or just water? Maybe there is air being drawn in somewhere?

Can you post some pics of your setup? May help.

The 1.5" drain should be plenty for that pump.

No air gets drawn in when closed off. I have a 1 inch id spa flex.
And 1 inch id return flex. Its not crimped or obstructed.
I have the pump plumbed to my sump via a bulkhead. Then the spa flex to the pump near the skimmer, and then spa flex to my injector from the pump.
Now from the gate valve i have it in reinforced flex tubing 1 inch id.
It runs to the back of my sump near the return pump of my sump.
Thats not directly plumbed into my sump, but my skimmer is over 16 inches over the waterlne of my sump.

Speaking of interesting plumbing solutions...

I'm in the process of ssslllooowwwwwwwwlyyy bringing an AGA 125 with dual megaflows online. I'm thinking of running one of the drains directly into the feedpump for an MR-2. Assuming I run something like the pcx40 or pcx55, would I be sucking air doing that off of just one drain? I'm not sure what the actual gph ends up being through the becket.

Thanks,
Dan

WOW the injector centerpiece must have been unseated then becase it worked before.
I'll change out the 1 inch line tomarrow to 1.5 inch hard plumbing.
Thanks Rg, and Ereefic!!!
I always thought it ran very well, Maybe i am do for a little boost in performance.

The 1.5 drain is what you need to make the skimmer work right and then you can open the ball valve all the way.And you will have a big boost in performance.

Blorton, you can try it, but I don't know how well it would work. It may cavitate the pump. I would just draw the water into the skimmer from the area where the water drains into the sump.

Thanks RG! I have noticed an improvement over that last hour, But its restricted. Note to all dont assume the piece is in right.
Check it all.
Thanks again erweefic, and RG!!
