Well, with the frag swap being the success we'd hoped for, as we had the 50 people I hoped for, as well as 18 people signed up on the interest sheet (were hoping for 10). To keep the ball rolling while the interest is still hot, I'd like to have a meeting in December at our house. We are looking at either Saturday, Dec 7th or Dec 13th. With the Thanksgiving holiday coming up, I didn't think we'd be able to squeeze one in in November. Let me know what weekend works for everyone, and we will get something set up. Since meetings tend to run 2-4 hours (depending on how many show up, and how much reef geek talk there is
), I'd say a 5:00-6:00 start time would be a good starting point. Times are very flexible, though.
Julie has offered to hold a meeting at her house again in January. Anyone else who would like to host, please speak up. You don't have to have a big system or anything special to host a meeting-just an interest in meeting other people and seeing other set ups. This hobby has a million and one ways to do nearly everything, so meetings are a great way to see different ways to do them. As these get rolling, we'll start adding features, like mini talks on different subject, etc.
We've got the start of something here. Let's get the foundation laid and start building
