MSX200 Recirc Mod-45scfh

Not at the moment that i know of. I know marine solutions is getting alot of them in the first week of april so the wait shouldnt be long.

Luke... I wish you'd come out about this, these are very serious claims. If you took the pics in 2006, please just fess up to it.

 and the guy was so sure of himself busting you on the pics... how laughable. Someone's a couple hot dogs shy of a picnic. Oh yeah, it says that he lives in a pineapple, that explains it.

I found a bigfoot!

Ok, i'm sorry man, couldn't resist. I'm done now. Lets all move on and get over this little set back

I cleaned out the venturi tonight and its maxed out at 50scfh. Not really sure what its pulling since i have a rma series air meter. I hope to get a new one here soon.

Here's some pics of the air meter #'s. I used 2 different meters for validation, and yes i know the date is from 2006.......etc.

50scfh is ef'n awesome... I just hope I can get mine that high when I re-do it... how far under water is your pump?

Well as a recirc its half way out of the water. When i ran it as an in sump it ran at 6" to 11" and ran the same.

cool. Oh, if you still have some of that vintage '06 nog, could you send me some? I'm tired of looking at old pics, I want to smell the 2 yr old stuff :D

Its been a couple days marine solutions has not gotten back to me if I can pre order or not ( id rather not pre order just to have their que already filled up on the 200's )

Time too camp the drygoods forum :/

I just ran a summary on the pictures you have posted of the nog and they were taken on 1/21/2006. So how is it the last 7 days worth if the picture was taken in 2006 ??? If your going to make claims then atleast post pics that support your claims....not ones taken back in 2006

. The pics you posted at the beginning of this thread all were taken on 2/22/08 so it's not the camera .

BUSTED

I wonder if Dawn dishwashing soap had the direct pump in 2006. I recall that commerical in late 2007/2008. I don't want to believe a member of ReefCenteral would post fake photos unless they are distributors of MSX or any product.

Luke, nice mod, but will the unit work out of the box to produce dark stuff from a 90g tank?

I think spongebobby is just mad he spent so much on a Reeflo and these MSX'es are performing just as good at a fraction of the cost..... I dont know what date my camera is set at, nor do I care... Here's what my MSX250 pulled out last week and I dont even have any fish in there yet, just curing MarcoRock.... The pic is full size so you can see it's a MSX250.

Nice mod though Luke.... Are you still using that reducer I sent to you ???

Yep, its still in there. Honestly though, i don't think there was a difference between the two. ATI and SWC have the same one. Orca's are a bit different, they have changed them a few times.

Hello every one. I don't own a MSX but I need to upgrade from my old g3. I'm hear to ask you guys and gals who some of you I'm sure have owned more then one skimmer, how does this skimmer stack up to others on the market like ER and aqua euros there seems to be so many on the market and I have only owned a ASM and a bakk pack and don't have gobs of money to toss at a skimmer thanks for any input you can give thank you very much...

I too am thinking about upgrading to the MSX160 from my AquaC Urchin Pro...the AquaC does a nice job on my 90g...but nothing like what I am seeing from the MSXs! The MSX160 should be good enough for a 90g (probably total of 90g with rock/sand displacement + sump and fuge--only 6 fish, but I overfeed) correct?

Wow, interesting thread with the pic dispute and all. I change the date on my computer all of the time to fool programs from closing. Pirates rule.

Now, who has the balls to recirc a 300? I may, but I'll have to look deep. I don't want to mess up a $500 thing....but the urge to DIY is sometimes too much.

BTW, I don't think I've ever seen your actual tank Luke.....what does it look like? Got Fish?

the MSX will make you wonder what the heck the urchin was doing all this time, the MSX will pull a months worth of skimmate for the urchin in 2 days.

Dan, if you recirc a 300 it will have much nicer benefits than the 200. Your pushing 900gph through your tank as an in sump, recirc'd pry 300-400 as your dwell time would increase dramatically. As for my recirc. I went from 450gph flowthrough to 300. Minimal imo. It was just for water fluctuations in my sump. Since i changed up, it doesn't matter.

And my tank ain't anything special : ) I just battled HA......and totally kicked it s butt in about a month. lol I'm just your average reefer, just love the skimmers!
