Has there been a date set for the voting to start?

Well, last year there was "email" voting, which I personally don't think worked too well. We can do that again, or we can do the vote the way we did when we changed the constitution back in August. At that time, we had paper ballots that were filled out by the membership present, and there were a lot of members there at the time (at the Emerald Bay meeting).

I lean towards having the vote at the March meeting, with regular ballots. If folks want to absentee vote, we can arrange something for that. I think I prefer that to email voting, because there is actual paper to count and I think it makes for a cleaner process. I'm open to other suggestions, though.

we don't want any problems with chits??? LOL I will cast my vote for Jack right now!!! all the rest have to answer to him right? I vote for Jack

I accept the nomination for secretary.

Also, I think we should vote in person at the March meeting as well. Paper makes more sense to me than emails and absentee voting can be available if needed. Maybe a PDF ballot printed off of the website and mailed in.

Excellent Idea. Go for it Jack.

Norman

I know it would be soon but it would be nice to vote in Feb when everyone is at the meeting at the restaurant just a thought.

I need to work on that schedule over the next week or two.

I thought about doing the voting at the Feb meeting. If folks don't object to that, then I think we can do it. Officially we are supposed to vote in March, though.

Jack for president, Chris Stowers for VP, and Norman for Treasurer and Brandon (Nevessl) for secretary. So far that is all I see that have been nominated are there any other people interested for these positions? If there are no others it really doesn't matter where or when we have the election as there are no contested sets. I think we need to set a date for the nominations and then see how many we end up at.

Jack Jack Jack Jack Jack....for president!!!!!!!!
All others, I think would also do a great job in areas they have been nominated.

I second this and I nominate myself and Ryan as beverage directors for the club.

You guys are drunkies!!!!.....lol.....

Jack, are you going to do a swap committee again this year? Any other committees? If so, are they going to be volunteer, elected, etc? I'm down for helping wherever!

Yes -- we'll have a swap committee again this year. It will be volunteer as it was last year. We may have other committees as well. Thanks for volunteering :D

OK folks. All the positions are uncontested with one person running for each.

President - Jack (crumbletop)
Vice President - Chris (c_stowers)
Secretary - Brandon (NeveSSL)
Treasurer - Norman (fallinapart)

Last chance for nominations :)

Congrats to the winners on finely run and clean campaigns.

It's nice to see everyone running on the strength of their belief's and their stance on the issues as opposed to finger pointing, accusations, and digging up the past indiscretions of the competition

Let's not forget how inexpensive this whole election was. Once you remove the caucuses and primaries you can really cut down on your need for costly TV commercials.
