Maybe the club should use some of its loot to buy a club laptop (good ones available new for $300) so the poor "secretary" doesn't have to hand write everything? :D

Just an idea. Great job summarizing Jay.

I had mine in the car but wasn't sure how things would work. Definitely bringing next time...and using it

Wow, Jay. Very nice.

I'm not 100% sure how "brief" some of those "discussions" were, though. LOL :D

That's a lot of majority voting on things with out the majority of the club being there. I think I am a little confused how with a member ship of around 50 the majority vote was done with less than half the members. I was under the impresion that votes would be done via online or some other avenue so that all the members could participate or at least have the opportunity.

Well, everyone knew about the meeting for a month in advance. You just have to start somewhere. With all the disorganization I think Bill and crew need to start somewhere, with the "majority" that were there, and have a good clean slate moving forward to better the club. JMO.

No one was even told that there would be voting going on and besides that we knew only for about 2 weeks when and where the meeting was. Starting some where could have been posted in here or our club site to allow the EVERYONE to vote.

Just kind of common sense, considering the kind of meeting it was going to be. I'm sure there will be plenty of voting and involvement of the members in the future.

I joined in May of last year and that is one thing I noticed.......the same faces pretty much at every meeting and well just the same of the opposite(the same faces always missing).....If you hang on the fence forever for the ones(who don't/can't come to all/most of the meetings(sometimes work doesn't allow, but some just don't come, but seem to complain) especially the nomination/voting meeting(from what I understood on the thread of what this month's meeting was about) of the BOD).....what makes us think they will ever come or vote on future issues. JMHO In short; I think alot of people want to benefit from membership and should, but not as much as participation permits
Maybe two more cents than what was asked.

Where were your concerns about voting when you decided to wave the swap Fees or lower the membership dues??? Also you could have voted if you came to the meeting as all others that did decided they wanted to vote NOW not another time. And as far as I recall you have not been to more than three meetings all year and really don't have the credibility to criticize what we as a new board do. I was told what your plan of sticking your fingers in my eye for anything i try and do to Improve the club! Well If you want to stir the pot and ruin a good start I think the members will shut you down pretty fast. We as a group had a great meeting and if you were so concerned you could have showed up!!!

I have been in the club for 4 year and have never seen things voted on with out giving everyone a chance to vote on it. Especially when you are talking about things that had to do with spending money. So common sense would lead me to believe that everyone would get a chance to vote either online or given notice that these issues would be discussed at the upcoming meeting so one could make arrangements to come. But this is just my two cents worth.

I've been in the club for just a year now and before yesterday's meeting I don't recall as a member EVER being asked to vote on a single decision. Maybe I somehow missed all my opportunities to vote over the past year?

Check your PMS Bill.

I am not trying to argue on here I was just saying I would have liked to vote. Thats the end of it for me. I missed the chance oh well.

I will say this Bill I only missed 3 meeting this last year. So i am not sure where you got I did not even attend 3 but none f that really matters anyway.
