Hi all

I was able to pick up this pair multi bar angels from my LFS. They are QT'ing them from me right now. I can pick them up when I want :)

What do you say? They are already eating mysis and artemia. They keep them there until they eat flakes and pellets.

What do you think guys? A nice shot?

Here a short movie:

Switzerland is such a long drive, otherwise I'd grab them myself!
Great fish...everyone comments on mine!

Thanks guys.. I will def. QT them myself before I intro thrm in my DT. Maybe not as long as other fishes, but QT is a must. Thr problem here in switzerland is that like nobody has a QT tank and QT'ing is not a usual practice here. Most people drive to the LFS and pick up a fish which they intro directly into their DT.

Great find, I would love to try these guys myself, but I think they are tough to come by locally. Not to hijack the thread, but Albano, are yours in a species only tank, reef tank or FOWLR? I read they are from deeper waters, may not pick at corals as much because of this, but need calm peaceful tankmates. Is this accurate? Thanks,
Scott

His are in a reef tank, but I can't tell you if they are a problem for his corals. They should be QTd to get them eating and comfortable to the captive environment. They are pretty capable of holding their own once settled into their environment. I've kept a pair in a QT with an established orchid dottyback and they instantly ruled the QT until velvet presented itself from coming in with the angels (I believe it was them, unless it laid dormant with the orchid or clowns for months).

Yes, mine are in a 450g DT mixed/mostly sorties...10 tangs, 12 angels, 30+ wrasses, 20+ other fish... not totally calm/peaceful! The Multibars don't touch corals, but are always picking at rocks, so every few months I do add add'l pods.

I'm thinking to remove a few tangs and other fish and possibly add add'l Multibars and Regals, and some more Genicanthus

What do you think.. Will there be aggression from my majestic towards the multibar pair when I intro them? My majestic never was overly aggressive so far. How should I intro them to not have issues?

Just want to plan that..

Some news from my LFS came in.. The multibar's are eating flakes now :) Just received the movie where they feeding flakes and the pair is eating. awesome news imo.
