multicontroller 7095 with Stream 6080's

Could I use a multicontroller 7095 with the "non cotrollable" streams? The reason I ask is that I am considering buying a stream kit TS24, with 2 no. 6100's and a 7095 controller. I already have two no 6080's.

I know I couldn'd speed control the 6080's but could I set the 7095 for simple on/off mode for them? The reason I am thinkinf this is:

I would position the 6080's one at each end of my 8x2x2 tank, set to switch on for 1 hour, then off for 1 hour - but I would stagger the time by half an hour. I would then position the 6100's, again one at each end, and let them do their random flow thing.

If this is not feasible, how would you suggest I use the equipment I have, together with the TS24 kit?

I would love to just try and sell the 6080's and get a TS24 kit, but at the moment it is beyond my budget.

Cheers,

Matt

It is not possible. I would just run the 6080's independently on a simple timer set up like you describe, but to add them to the multicontroller cannot be done.

Roger,

I had my 6060 hook up to a timer, it turn off at night and on during the day time one time. But I noticed that when it turn on, there is a loud rattle/cracking noise coming out of the pump/impeller for a 5-10 second, I also noticed the pump is shaking as the impeller trying to turn.

After this pump is running fine with no problem, I check the impeller and magnet, they seem to be fine.

Is this normal for them when they start up ?

They do this because the prop is trying to brake a backwards rotation but it should not do this all the time or for so long. I think a part must have a poor fit.
