Roger what is the story with the moonlight setup on this thing? Is it an LED? What wattage and color? Would one light be enough for a 5' long tank? How does the moon cycle work? Will it "remember" its moonphase if there is a power outage?

It is a white LED. If installed at the correct angle gently sloping down across the tank it will be enough for a tank up to about 6ft. The moonlight is activated by the photocell and comes on at night every night it steps up or down one level of intensity 14 levels up and 14 down and one day completely off. If a power outage occurs it would advance one day.

It is best to mount it on the side (centered) and with a very gentle downward slope.
