Multicontroller Night Mode - no pulse

I can't seem to figure this out, I see that the multicontroller has a night mode for reduced output but I can't get mine to work.

I don't pulse my Streams, all I want is 100% output during daylight hours and 50% at lights out.

Is this possible, if so how?

At night the pump stops pulsing and switches to whatever you ste the lower knobs too. You could not stop the pulsing during the day but generally this is not desirable, the pulsing increases the turbulence. So you would set your top knobs at 100% and the bottom at 50% and at night they would run at 50% and in the day 100-50% pulsing.
