Multicontroller settings w/ 6000's

Roger,

Awhile ago you recommended a setting to use with my two 6000's and multicontroller.
I followed your direction but it doesnt seem to work properly.

Here are my current settings:

pumps plugged into ports 8 and 11
3 sec. pulse (12 o'clock position on dial)
interval dial at 12 o'clock position on dial ( 3 to 6 hour interval ?)
mode switch in top position
interval switch in top position (interval light is on)
pumps are set for 30/100% pulse
Photo cell plugged in

Problem is the light is on for ports 8 and 10, not 8 and 11, so only 1 pump is running at the moment. The light is on for port 10, but I dont have a pump in this location cause I want to use tide mode.

Where did I go wrong?

You didn't go wrong. In 3-6 hrs the pumps in 9 and 11 come on. Tide mode alternates which pump is on.

Thanks Roger,

Since this is primarily an SPS tank, would it be more beneficial in terms of more flow to have them set on pulse mode so that both pumps are always on? It seems a waste to have only one pump working at a time.

It is totally up to you and what the appearance of the tank suggests is fitting. You could use pulse mode and just have one pump at 30% when the other is at 100% but I suspect the Tide program will be just fine.
