Multiple Chomis of different species

Seems the knowledge here is that 3 chromis becomes 1 over time.
Is this true if I get different ones?
Could a blue-green play nice with a yellow? Of is it simply 1 chromis total?
Second, or they like anathia and need several feedings each day?

(Oops, moderators can move this to the Fish forum. Sorry)

I have a dozen or so Chromis Viridis (bog standard green/blue chromis) and 6 Chromis retrofasciata (black bar chromis).

They keep themselves to themselves. The Black Bar are much more Damsel-like in terms of appearance and behaviour.

As such, you will not get the schooling between the 2 species that chromis are renowned for.

The chromis viridis numbers do dwindle but I have had 100% survival with the black bar chromis.

As a small quick moving fish with a high metabolic rate then they need more than 1 feed a day. Many small feeds is better than 1 or 2 feeds for most fish in our tanks.

I have a green chromis that enjoys hanging out with a blue reef chromis. I started with seven green chromis, and five blue reef chromis. I want to add more of one species -- preferably the blue ones but I'm having trouble finding healthy ones -- but since these two are getting along so well, I'm not in a big hurry.
