Mushrooms

I have different kinds of mushroms and I was wondering if they start growing close to each other will they attack each other?

just look around at other peoples tank pics, they have rocks covered in mushrooms. mushrooms dont sting. those that do eat meat catch their food with a sticky mucus. (at least thats my understanding of it)
