Must-haves for EASY DIY controller?

i deleted eagle reinstalled it redownloaded the cam addins for eagle put them in the cam file still get an error with the cam file above, the cam file direct from itead does the same thing when i download it and try to use it,the one from seeed its only 2.45kb and when i unzip it says that its corrupted and cant be used.so i guess will just have to hope that when you guys design something that i want to build too ,that you post the gerbers to it

Is there some where I can order the ELN-P Shield and Hydra Board? That doesn't cost so much? cheapest price is around $200 a board. Or am i doing something wrong?

Without a doubt, if someone is totally stuck I don't mind making/posting gerbers. My overall philosophy though, with this project at least, is that part of the point is for people to learn and get involved in the entire process, rather than just consuming an off the shelf product. But definitely, if you get stuck, ask for help! :)

There's nowhere to order them "off the shelf." And at that price I think you must be doing something wrong. Most people order from iteadstudio or seeedstudio, who both offer small-batch PCB manufacturing. You typically get a small number of the boards (say, 10) at a very reasonable price ($10 - $25, depending on board size, is where most of these projects fall). End up being a buck or two per board, not $200!

The overall process of ordering is explained a few times in this thread, but ask again if you have questions.

rye84 - I am preparing to place an order to a PCB manufacturer for the hydra board. I will definitiely have extras. PM me if you are still looking for a board.

I thought I read that the 4 middle wires that connect the LCD are not needed, but now I can't seem to find it. Am I making this up?

i dismantled the breadboard and after some part replacement i've found the problem...

the db( breakout board i was using it's bad, ground was not been shared between the chauvet and the circuit......

Can someone point me in the right direction of how I get the code onto the chips? I have been searching but have not been able to find any good information.

Ok, ok...I give in.

I have to build one now. I've been toying with this idea for 6 months and bought an Ardunio Mega and piece-parts two months ago.

Looks like I might as well jump on your bandwagon and see what I can do to help.

Anyone order a batch of boards lately or have a couple to sell?
