I have had this tank 92 corner up for 3 years and decided to start a SPS tank last August because LPS and softies were starting to bore me. I am running 3 AI sol blues,a SRO 3000 skimmer,GFO,carbon and mag 9 return pump with a calcium reactor and a ATO.I also have a 20 gallon fuge. I just put a 10 gallon acrylic reef ready frag tank attached to my system because corals are growing so fast and im fragging every month. All frags i put in my tank have been 1" to 2" SPS frags.First pic is a recent shot 2nd is the beginning of SPS.

Great looking tank. You are getting some awesome colors and growth. Can you post any close ups of the frags and a recent shot of them from approximately the same angle?

I wish i could i will try tomorrow. these are cell phone pics and my point and shoot camera really dont work to well but i will try :)

Corner tanks are nice but everything is more difficult. Hard to light, have nice flow and rock work was difficult. But i use 2 mp40s a seaswirl and some cheap powerhead in the corner to give it good flow. if it werent for LED pendants it would have been alot harder to light

Great progress for a year. What has been your biggest challenge up to now? Just curious how others trip has been. :)

Thanks everyone for the compliments. My hardest challenge was the AEFW i went through from april till july. I have got rid of them and havent seen any bite marks or a sign of them in months. Lost some frags and alot of color but everything is coming back nicely with an exception of a few wild frags i got. I was lucky i caught it early and didnt lose to much ,i would say 5 frags all together. i was having som po4 and no3 issues as well but that is now solved. since switching to a skimmer rated 3times my total water volume i have 0 po4 and 0 nitrates but im trying to figure out a way to get some no3 back into the system.I just started feeding 2 times per day instead of 1

Very nice duke. I really want my next tank to be a 92 corner. Can you share info on the frags you have on the glass on the left. I use magnets to attach to glass, but it seems like you have some small rocks there as well

Yes i ran out of real estate and got some mag discs to mount a couple frags. i didnt like that they didnt have a little shelf on the disc so i epoxied a piece of frag plug to make one :) As for the rock i would go out to the LFS looking for small pieces of branch rock the type no one like cause they are small and make a a big branching rock using many pieces of the small pieces i found and epoxying them all together. Gave me alot more room to add more frags and since they were custom made i could fit them in any space in my tank :) I have around 4 nice sized home made branch pieces in my setup that i was able to add 20 pieces of SPS to. If i didnt do that i probably would have maybe room for 5 frags in those spots

yeah thats a hyacinth i cut frags of it every month but it grows just as fast as i cut it. i always have frags of it in my frag tank i cant seem to sell them LOL everyone is into "high end" so 8 dollar frags are no good anymore :)

I have the same AI Sol Blues over my tank. What is ur lighting schedule, how high above the water line are they and what % do u run them at? Thanks a lot Duke

the front 2 AI sols are 9in above water line and the back one is 14 in since the rock work is so high back there. i will post what my schedule is tomorrow. busy with this hurricane out here on Long Island :(
